Alex Neill is a fifth generation Montanan, born and raised in Kalispell, where she spent her winters competing in freestyle skiing, and the rest of the year exploring Montana with her family. After graduating from Flathead High School in 2001, Alex attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where she was a member of both the UC Boulder Ski Team and on the Development Team for the US Ski Team. After two years, Alex transferred to the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree. After college, Alex attended law school at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where she earned her J.D, and for the past 10 years, has been practicing law in Montana.
While her Montana roots run deep, Alex has an affinity for travel, having lived abroad in both New Zealand and Beijing, China and traveling across the United States. She feels that traveling helps to push you out of your comfort zone; something that is “good for everyone.” Her favorite place to adventure, however, is Glacier National Park. In 2016, Alex published a guidebook to the Park, “Glacier National Park for Families,” and curates a beautifully personal Instagram profile (@montanalex) where she highlights her adventures.
Leveraging a successful career in law, Alex has added Real Estate to her resume, with a goal of helping people find their home and “basecamp” for Montana adventures. She knows how important the idea of “home” is, and after looking for what seemed like forever for her own family’s home, she wants to work on behalf of others to help them as well. Leveraging her extreme local knowledge, personal connections and affinity for helping people, Alex is primed and ready to give you her best.
To her clients and teammates, Alex is known as an extremely motivated and hard worker with a huge heart. Alex balances data, experience and knowledgeable self-reflection to make informed decisions, and prides herself in giving her clients everything in her power to help them meet their goals.
When she’s not working, Alex spends her time adventuring with her family (husband, Matt, born and raised in Butte, Montana and their two daughters), hiking, camping, skiing and watching the girls at their barrel races.
If you’re curious about neighborhoods in the Flathead Valley, the local real estate market or recommended hikes in Glacier National Park, give Alex a call; she’d love to meet you for coffee and share her knowledge with you.
