Ah, September. That pivotal switch between Summer and Fall, when children return to school, routines are reestablished and the temperatures seem to immediately drop down to sweater weather (at least in the mornings) and then fluctuate back up by happy hour.
So how do we celebrate the end of Summer here in the Flathead? With weather forecasts looking absolutely perfect (a high of 81 on Sunday and 79 on Monday – yes, please!), we’ve rounded up a collection of events, happenings and activities to consider for the gorgeous long weekend ahead.

Explore Big Mountain! Hike the Big – or ride Chair 1 to the summit, ride the Alpine Slides, Zip Line or Aerial Adventure Park at Whitefish Mountain Resort.
Take note! Beginning on Tuesday, September 7, Going to the Sun Road passes are no longer needed in Glacier National Park (but a Park pass is still required)
