Last week, Travel + Leisure honored Whitefish, Montana as one of the Best Small Towns in America. We’re not surprised (we love it here!) but are honored by the recognition. With recreation abound, we’ve got four seasons to play throughout town – from Whitefish Mountain Resort (from wintertime skiing to summertime alpine slides), the Whitefish Trail System’s hiking and mountain biking trails, Glacier National Park and its endless recreation and Whitefish Lake, just to name a few. But Whitefish, Montana wouldn’t be what it is without the small businesses who keep our downtown thriving.
With that, we wanted to share 5 of our favorite local businesses here in Whitefish:
The Farmhouse Inn & Kitchen
Doughnuts, anyone? A charming B&B, The Farmhouse serves breakfast and lunch, and let us tell you – their doughnuts are delicious! *For those looking for a Valentine’s Day treat, they are taking orders for their gorgeous (and drool-worthy) cupcakes this weekend, too. Abruzzo Italian Kitchen
If you’re familiar with Revel Real Estate, then you know how we appreciate a good cocktail (we have our own in-office bar!) But when we venture outside of the office, you can find us cozied up to the bar at Abruzzo, Whitefish’s authentic Italian restaurant. While we devour their delicious, from-scratch pasta dishes, it’s the vibe at their long bar that we love the most. The drink of choice? A traditional Old Fashioned, of course. Mum’s
From Instagram-worthy floral arrangements to gorgeous potted plants, playful cards and thoughtful gifts, Mum’s has it all. If you want to surprise your Valentine this weekend (or any day for that matter) Mum’s truly is the place to do it from. Their Instagram is also one of our favorite follows, so check them out HERE.
Jalisco Cantina
Did someone say Taco Tuesday? Or Wednesday? Or Thursday? Jalisco Cantina is Whitefish’s all-around authentic Mexican experience, chalk full of more than 90 types of tequila and mezcal in their temperature-controlled vault. It also happens to be a quarter mile down the road from the Revel offices… There isn’t anything on the menu we wouldn’t eat (or drink), but if we had to choose, the fish tacos or pozole top the list. Bierstube
After a day on the mountain and before we head home for a quick hot tub soak, we love grabbing a beer at Big Mountain’s infamous Bierstube. It’s easy, casual and really, everyone knows your name. An added bonus? You might find our Operations Manager, Kate, slinging beers from behind the bar. As old school as it gets, the Bierstube is not online, so we’ll just give you the address: 3896 Big Mountain Road.
